Can i pick up my neighbors cordless home phone from 300 yards away on my police scanner?

It used to be the case (and it was quite fun too!). Very unlikely nowadays, as cordless phones are almost always digital, meaning that even if you could receive the transmission, it would be extremely difficult to capture, decode then change back to an audio signal.
