Will a U.S bought cordless phone work in India based on the different power supply in both countries?

I just asked an almost identical question about using a cordless phone in China. I was also looking at the Panasonic 6.0 DECT. I think you may have to get an adapter for the power. But, I don't know about the frequency... Will be monitoring your Q&A to see if it answers my question.
